Lawn care questions, answered

Questions we get asked.

Quick answers to the things customers ask us most.

How much does lawn care cost in Sittingbourne?

Our plans are monthly prices that depend on your lawn size. The Bi-Monthly Treatment Plan starts at 15 pounds a month, Essential Mow at 50 pounds, Full Lawn Care at 65 pounds and Premium Lawn Care at 69.17 pounds, all for a small lawn under 100 square metres. Medium and large lawns cost a little more, and you can see exact prices on our plans.

What is the September renovation?

It is the big autumn job: we scarify to lift thatch and moss, aerate to relieve compaction, overseed thin patches and apply an autumn feed. It is included in our treatment plans.

When is the best time to scarify and overseed a lawn in Kent?

Early autumn, in September and October, when the soil is still warm and the weather is mild and damp. Spring is possible, but autumn gives new grass the best start and fewer weeds to compete with.

How often does my lawn need mowing?

In the growing season most lawns need cutting about once a week, and less often in spring and autumn when growth slows. The rule that matters most is to never remove more than a third of the blade in one cut, and to keep the first cuts of spring on the high side.

Do I need to be at home?

Usually not. When you book, you can tell us about gates, access and pets. After every visit we send a photo and a short note so you can see what was done.

Is it safe for children and pets?

We follow the label on every product and we tell you how long to keep children and pets off the lawn after a treatment. Ask us before your first visit if you have any worries and we will talk it through.

What happens if my lawn does not respond to a treatment?

We will come back and re-treat it free of charge within two to three weeks.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no contract, and plans are billed monthly. When you book online it is a request, and we call to confirm your first visit before anything is charged.
