Lawn Treatment Plans
A lawn needs different things at different times of year. Spring brings weeds and moss, summer needs a lighter touch, and autumn is when a tired lawn can be put right. Our Bi-Monthly Treatment Plan is built around that rhythm, with a visit about every two months.
Feeds, weed control and moss control are timed to the season, because the same product can help in April and do harm in a heatwave. We follow each product label, and we tell you how long to keep children and pets off the grass.
The September renovation is part of the plan. That is when we scarify, aerate, overseed and feed, which is the single most useful thing you can do for next year’s lawn.
- Six treatment visits a year
- Feed, weed and moss control timed to the season
- September renovation included
- Photo and a short note after every visit
Lawn Mowing
A good lawn starts with how it is cut. We keep the first cuts of the year on the high side and bring the height down gradually, then ease off again in a dry summer and in autumn. Cutting too short in spring stresses the grass and lets weeds in.
Mowing is done from our electric van, so it is quieter on your road. We do not take more than a third off the blade in one visit, because cutting hard weakens the lawn.
The Essential Mow plan covers mowing only. If you would like feeding and weed control as well, Full Lawn Care puts both together on one monthly price.
- Regular mowing through the growing season
- Cutting height set for the season
- Quieter electric van
- Photo and a short note after every visit
Autumn Lawn Renovation
Early autumn is the best time to repair a lawn. The soil is warm, the weather is mild and damp, and new grass seed has the best chance to take. The Royal Horticultural Society points to September and October for this work.
We scarify to lift thatch and moss, aerate to open up compacted soil, overseed thin patches, then feed with an autumn product that builds roots and toughness. We use an autumn feed, not a leftover summer one, because too much nitrogen late in the year makes soft growth that is prone to disease.
The renovation is included in our treatment plans, so there is no separate charge to find in September.
- Scarifying and aeration
- Overseeding of thin areas
- Autumn feed for strong roots
- Included in the treatment plans
